The HUAWEI XPIXEL megapixel smart projection headlights are perfectly integrated with the M9’s design concept of “Kunpeng’s ambition, boundless realm”. As the first thing that catches the eye of the entire car, the M9’s projection headlights are wrapped in the front face design of Kunpeng’s spreading wings, and have a high degree of recognition with excellent aesthetic design.

This projection headlight uses an original dual-reflection spatial optical system, which can achieve ultra-near-field projection and welcoming functions. In addition, when driving, the 2.6-million-pixel refined lighting of the dual lights can be flexibly adjusted according to road conditions, and precise shielding can be used to prevent the light from disturbing others.

At the beginning of the design, Huawei decided to incorporate more intelligent elements into the headlights, making the lights not only easy to use and safer, but also fun to play with, to meet users’ diverse driving interaction and entertainment needs. The built-in Starlight digital matrix interactive system can project images forward and display intelligent interactive patterns.

The megapixel smart projection headlights of the AITO M9 have transformed AITO into a new “lighting factory”, which perfectly matches the positioning of this car.

Intelligent configuration

Once you get into the car, you will find that the M9 is fully equipped with 10 screens to meet the full-scenario needs of driving, entertainment, and work. The screen sizes range from 16 inches to 100 inches. Combined with the new HarmonyOS 4, it provides a revolutionary cockpit experience for human-computer interaction.

In particular, the 32-inch liftable projection screen, with the cooperation of the industry’s brightest and widest color gamut automotive-grade projector, can achieve cinema-level viewing effects in the car. Unlike the mainstream TV screens in the industry, the design of the M9 projection screen ensures the entertainment experience while not occupying the position of the panoramic sunroof on the roof, making the sunroof area as large as possible.

In addition, the M9 is also equipped with the HUAWEI ARHUD head-up display system, HUAWEI SOUND Excellence series and the new Xiaoyi smart assistant. With the support of Huawei’s innovative technology, a total of ten black technologies are used through the combination of intelligent software and hardware to redefine the smart full-size large SUV.

 

Operation Configuration

The AITO M9 uses Huawei’s latest Tuling intelligent chassis, with aluminum alloy accounting for up to 80% of the volume. It uses a front double wishbone + rear multi-link suspension system, and is equipped with standard intelligent closed air springs and CDC variable damping shock absorbers for the entire series, which can take into account both comfort and handling.

Moreover, the original owl enhanced steering technology adopted by the M9 can achieve better results without rear-wheel steering. With the help of this technology, the rear space can be made larger. Yu Chengdong introduced that under the owl steering technology, the front wheels can achieve a maximum steering angle of 41.75°, and the minimum turning radius is only 5.8 meters, which is smaller than Tesla Model 3, truly realizing the definition of M9 as “big but not clumsy”.

Security Configuration

Safety is the most important aspect of a car. The M9 is equipped with 9 airbags and the AEB capability has been improved. In terms of intelligent driving, the M9 is equipped with Huawei’s ADS 2.0 advanced automatic driving assistance system, which currently supports full-scene NCA coverage without map conditions, and supports parking valet driving and mechanical parking assistance functions. In addition, the M9 also adds the AEB function for reverse driving, which can also brake when the accelerator is accidentally pressed in reverse, which can prevent more accidents caused by operational errors.

The M9 adopts two power forms: pure electric and extended range. The pure electric model adopts Huawei’s Jujing 800V high-voltage electrification platform, equipped with front and rear dual motors, and the vehicle’s pure electric range under WLTC conditions is 630km. Huawei’s HUAWEI DriveONE 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform can make the motor’s maximum power reach 390kW, achieve a maximum torque of 673Nm, and accelerate from 0 to 100 in just 4.3 seconds. For a full-size SUV, both the range and power acceleration performance are at the leading level.

The extended-range model will be equipped with a super-extended-range platform consisting of a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender + dual electric motors. The intelligent range-extended platform of the AITO M9 can combine factors such as vehicle speed and slope to intelligently control the start and stop of the range extender and power generation to achieve the best oil and electricity distribution. While effectively improving the power generation efficiency of the range extender, it can also take the power output to a higher level.
