Appearance design

The AITO M5 EV adopts the urban ecological aesthetic design concept, and its appearance looks quite simple and clean. At the same time, the front face adopts a shark nose sports car front design, combined with the lion headlights, it leaves us with a good first impression.

      

Coming to the side of the car, the new car has a smooth side shape, with a straight upper waistline and an upward lower waistline, which has a good balance between fashion and dynamism. In addition, the high-end model will also provide 20-inch wheels and adopt a large-area closed design to further reduce the vehicle’s wind resistance coefficient.

At the rear, the new car adopts the currently popular through-type taillight group, and the rounded and full rear bumper makes the rear of the vehicle look more substantial.

 

Intelligent configuration

As we all know, Huawei is deeply involved in the co-creation of AITO’s models, and AITO M5 EV is no exception: this new car is equipped with the new HarmonyOS 3 smart cockpit, which is also one of the biggest selling points of the new car.

      

This system supports seamless access to HarmonyOS mobile terminal applications, realizes the parallel view horizontal screen window layout display of the car interface, and supports mutual calls between mobile phone and car hardware. If your mobile phone also uses the HarmonyOS system, you can use the car system more conveniently. In addition, this system also supports multi-screen collaboration and keyboard and mouse sharing with computers, which is convenient for office work.

In addition, this system’s Xiaoyi intelligent voice interaction system supports two dialects, Cantonese and Sichuanese, in addition to Mandarin. It can be spoken directly without wake-up and repeated wake-up is required. The entire vehicle has four-zone voice recognition and can accurately identify voice commands of corresponding positions.

In terms of entertainment, AITO M5 EV and Leishi KTV jointly created an immersive in-car KTV. At the same time, the in-car application store supports the download of games such as “Ace Racing”, “Soul Knight”, and “War Soul Celebrity”, which is highly entertaining.

In addition, the new car is also equipped with the industry’s first HUD adaptive adjustment function. This configuration can automatically adjust the HUD height through the human eye position positioning algorithm and the human eye position, ensuring that we can always see all the display content of the HUD.

 

Security Configuration

AITO M5 EV also focuses on safety. For example, in terms of passive safety, the battery pack of this new car adopts VHR technology. Through real-time monitoring by more than 100 sensors, it can dynamically adjust the battery pack thermal management algorithm in a timely manner. If the temperature of the battery pack is too high, it will not diffuse or spread between the battery cells, eliminating the possibility of fire.

Moreover, this new car is made of high-strength steel for more than 60%, of which hot-formed steel accounts for 19%. It is equipped with 6 airbags, which can provide more comprehensive protection for the passengers in an emergency.

In terms of active safety, this SUV is equipped with 3 millimeter-wave radars, 4 APA cameras, and 12 long-range ultrasonic radars, achieving L2+ level of assisted driving, and can realize 21 safety functions including lane cruise assist and driving blind spot warning.

Parameter configuration

In terms of power, the standard rear-wheel drive version of the AITO M5 EV is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum output power of 200kW and a 0-100 km/h time of 7.1 seconds. The new four-wheel drive version is equipped with a power combination consisting of a front AC asynchronous motor + a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a maximum output power of 365kW and a peak torque of 675N·m, and it only takes 4.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h.

In terms of chassis suspension system, the AITO M5 EV adopts the all-aluminum alloy chassis commonly seen in million-dollar luxury cars, and the front double wishbone + rear H-arm multi-link independent suspension system. The vehicle has a small roll gradient, which can effectively improve the vehicle’s handling stability. In addition, this suspension system has good vibration filtering performance, has strong handling capabilities for continuous undulating roads, and can also bring good driving comfort.
